Composer's Note

​

Music for an unmade cartoon is a playful work that knowingly exploits tropes from early cartoon soundtracks to comic effect. Since its premiere - for which I was the soloist - the piece has been performed in both Italy and Spain by Alfonso González Barquín (principal trumpet of Rome’s Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia).
