Composer's Note
Poem 291 is a short setting of Emily Dickinson’s poem How the old Mountains drip with Sunset. It was composed for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s 2nd Year Vocal Ensemble and its conductor Susan Waters whilst I was a student there. The piece was premiered in Southwark Cathedral in 2009.
